After a few setbacks fans are finally close to hearing J. Cole’s sophomore album Born Sinner. The followup to Cole World: The Sideline Story is scheduled for a June 18 release date (Cole hopes to compete with Yeezy’s forthcoming album). Born Sinner‘s lead single, the Miguel-assisted “Power Trip” has quickly become a hit amongst Cole’s fans.

Yesterday Kid Cudi revealed the album artwork and tracklisting for his forthcoming third studio album Indicud. The artwork takes the gold frame concept we’ve seen over and over from artists like Kanye West and adds on to it with fiery flames. Indicud will be released April 23 and will feature Kendrick Lamar, Too Short, RZA, Kid Chip and more.

Speaking of Kid Chip, he hit up Jimmy Kimmel Live with Cudi last night for a dope performance of “Just What I Am,” following Cudder’s solo performance of his latest single “Immortal.”

If anything just watch the videos to admire Cudi’s pearly whites.

Check out the list of tracks and Kimmel performances below! Continue reading

The visuals for some of 2012′s biggest albums range from literal to abstract abstract. Usually album artwork is the first way artists can bring the public into their process for their new music. We take a look at the best artwork this year. Continue reading

After announcing plans for an acoustic record on Ellen, Justin Bieber has officially revealed the artwork for Believe Acoustic . It’s safe to say it will definitely go in the same vein as My Worlds Acoustic, even with the same producer – Dan Kanter. It’s quite the artsy cover. Aside from how odd his hand  strumming the guitar looks, it’s a cool cover.  Believe Acoustic will be released January 2013.

Am I the only one who gets the urge to go watch silly Tegan & Sara videos on Youtube every time they perform somewhere/release a new song? I KNOW I’m not.

The Canadian twins appeared on David Letterman last night to perform Heartthrob’s lead single “Closer.” The performance was similar to the other ones we’ve seen over the last few months, and I’m starting to think I like the acoustic version better live. What do you think?

Anyway, I can’t wait for them to start performing “I’m Not Your Hero.”

Until then watch their latest late night performance and share your thoughts below! Continue reading

It includes the lead single “Ball” featuring Lil Wayne and the leaked track “Trap Back Jumpin“. Meek Mill, R. Kelly, A$AP Rocky, Pink, Akon, CeeLo Green and Andre 3000 make appearances on the record. The artwork itself has a 70′s blaxploitation quality to it, even up to T.I.’s in your face gun-wielding.

The real artwork for Bruno Mars’ Unothodox Jukebox has been released. Last week we posted a very basic album cover and thankfully that wasn’t the real thing. Bruno tweeted out the artwork just moments ago and it is a lot more imaginative and fitting of the title than the fake cover. Continue reading

Bruno Mars just unveiled  the artwork for his new album Unorthodox Jukebox. Set for release in December, it features the single ”Locked out of Heaven”. It’s a pretty simple cover, but it captures Bruno’s laid-back coolness.

Phillip Phillips’ debut single “Home” has become a HUGE hit in the last few weeks, and the singer is finally ready to give fans new music. The American Idol winner announced the album title and release date for his debut album earlier this week via twitter. The World From The Other Side Of The Moon will be released on Nov. 19.

I like the long name. It stands out, right?! I’ll admit I didn’t watch or support Phillips on American Idol, but I love “Home” so I can’t wait to see what else he has up his sleeve!

Are you excited for The World From The Other Side Of The Moon?

Keyshia Cole released the album artwork for her forthcoming album Woman To Woman on Instagram recently. The singer seems to be going back to her roots with this project,  and I really enjoyed “Enough Of No Love,” so I’m excited to see how the rest of the album turns out. On the cover, Keyshia takes off a mask (which also has her face on it). Her ridiculously large ring is also pretty prevalent in the shot.

Are you ready forWoman To Woman? The album will be released on November 19.
