Alicia Keys in "Tears Always Win" video

Alicia Keys in “Tears Always Win” video

Alicia Keys works as a Las Vegas showgirl and a bar singer in “Tears Always Wins.” In the newly released video, Keys spends most of her time on stage performing, but life gets lonely when she leaves work and must deal with missing her lover and sleeping alone in motels. The clip, directed by Robert Hales, is beautifully shot and Keys is styled amazingly as she works and wonders through the busy city.

“Tears Always Win” is Keys’ latest single from Girl on Fire. Continue reading

Alicia Keys in "New Day" video

Alicia Keys in “New Day” video

Alicia Keys’ video for “New Day” is sort of like a lyric video. The new clip features Keys’ and a crew of male backup dancers dancing on stage and in an alley, as video of graffiti artists spray painting the lyrics to the uplifting tune along with a picture of Keys on buildings. It’s always fun to see Keys stepping outside of her element and dancing.

“New Day” is featured on Girl On Fire, which is in stores now. Continue reading

If you thought Alicia Keys’ “Fire We Make” couldn’t get any hotter, think again. The singer released the video for the Maxwell-assisted single today and it’s H O T. Seriously. The singer goes back in time and meets a man (Maxwell) who is so hot she has to cool herself down with ice.

“Fire We Make” is featured on Keys’ fifth studio album Girl on Fire, which is in stores now. Continue reading

NBA All-Star weekend was full of basketball and entertainment!

Last night during the NBA All-Star game Ne-yo performed a 10 minutes set while the players were introduced. The set included “Let’s Go,” “Let Me Love You,” “Forever Now,” a few wardrobe changes and tons of dancing. It wasn’t his best performance and Ne-yo seems to have sensed that so he took to twitter to address the criticism. He’s right, everyone does have an off day every now and then, but he can’t be mad that people weren’t blown away by his show…

Next up was John Legend, who sang The National Anthem before the game began.

Later in the show, Alicia Keys hit the stage for for a 10-minute halftime show. Keys’ set began with her singing “Empire State of Mind,” at the piano, but she didn’t stay seated the whole show. During performances of “Girl On Fire,” “No One,” and “New Day,” Keys showed off her crop top and shook her hips across the stage with her backup dancers. People always complain that Keys stays behind the piano too much, but they didn’t seem too impressed by her dance moves either.

All-in-all no one sounded amazing, but they sure gave folks something to talk about in between the game.

Maroon 5 & Alicia Keys Perform At The Grammys

Maroon 5 hit the stage with Alicia Keys for a mashup of their singles “Daylight” and “Girl On Fire” at the 2013 Grammys.

I have to be honest. I wasn’t expecting much from this performance, since Keys always seems to strain whenever she sings this single, but she lowered the key and the medley was actually pretty fun!

Check it out below and let me know what you think!

Alicia Keys Performs “The National Anthem” At The Super Bowl

Alicia Keys sang The National Anthem moments before the Super Bowl game began. What I really love about this performance is that Keys kept it simple, and took it back to her roots by sitting behind the piano and letting the beauty of the words shine through.
