B.O.B and 2 Chainz in "Headband" video

B.O.B and 2 Chainz in “Headband” video

B.O.B and 2 Chainz sit on the front lawn and enjoy the sun as a few ladies exercise around them on towels in the “Headband” video. The video for the twerk song doesn’t feature much twerking, but it’s the perfect visuals for summer. B.O.B plans to drop his third studio album Underground Luxury later this year and, if his previous music is any indication, it should feature a variety of sounds. Continue reading

Two’s a crowd, but three’s a party!

Remember when Ciara released “Ride,” then the amazing remix with Andre 3000 came out? Well, the “Body Party Remix” is along those lines! The remix doesn’t just feature an updated beat, though, it also features a new verse from previous background crooner Future. He joins his girlfriend for an actual verse, before “Headband” rapper B.O.B comes through to turn up towards the end. Continue reading

Grand Hustle/Atlantic

B.O.B is constantly walking the line between pop/rock and hip-hop, but this new song, “Headband,” is strictly for his urban fans. It’s a twerk song reminiscent of Travis Porters’s strip club hits. The beat is built around a catchy whistle melody, and the lyrics center around the typical rap topic: sex with a big booty baddie. *sigh* Cliché? Yes, definitely. But, I would be lying if I said I didn’t nod my head a time or two.  2 Chainz pops in for a verse towards the end, too.

“Headband” is the first offering from Bobby Ray’s third studio album Underground Luxury Continue reading

NBA All-Star weekend keeps getting better!

Last week it was announced that Fall Out Boy, Ellie Goulding and Phillip Phillips will perform at the ‘State Farm All-Star Saturday Night’ on Feb. 16. Officials also revealed that Alicia Keys, Neyo & John Legend would sing at the actual game on Feb. 17.

This week another round of performers have been announced!

Ke$ha, B.o.B & Ludacris are set to perform during the NBA All-Star Pregame Concert hours before the game on on Feb. 17. The concert will air on NBA TV at 6 p.m. EST.

Ke$ha will more than likely perform music from her latest album Warrior, but I’m curious to see what B.O.B & Ludacris will perform! Hopefully a few oldies!

Trap music at its finest! B.o.B’s video for his single “We Still in This B*tch” features he and T.I. along with Juicy J. The trio live it up with fast cars, spending dough in a strip club, and poppin’ bottles. The clip is pretty  straightforward. Check it out after the jump!  Continue reading

B.O.B in “Just A Sign” Video

B.O.B took a break from balling and releasing mixtapes to drop a music video for Strange Cloud’s “Just A Sign.” Aside from a flashy car, the materialistic things are kept to a minimum as B.O.B reflects on life and chills on the beach with his significant other.

The good life. Continue reading

Melanie Fiona just dropped the new video for her single “Change the Record”. B.o.B. is featured on the track and makes an appearance in the video. The upbeat song features a strong piano line throughout with a sing-songy chorus and  a fun video with cute effects to match. The song comes from her second albumThe MF Life, which is out now.

Better late than never.

B.O.B was supposed to premiere the “Outta My Mind” video weeks ago, but today he FINALLY premiered the Nicki Minaj assisted clip on 106 & Park. In the video, Nicki’s a mad doctor who seduces B.O.B, her mental patient. I wasn’t too sure I’d like it, but I love the way it was edited.

B.O.B and Nicki Minaj are going crazy in the upcoming video for “Outta My Mind.” The two are chained, and in straight jackets throughout the dark, Benny Boom directed video which will be released in full on Wednesday (8/15). It’s a sharp contrast to “Both Of Us,” B.O.B’s last video.

B.O.B. recently filmed a music video for “Outta My Mind,” his collaboration with Nicki Minaj so I was sure that would be the next video he released from his sophomore album Strange Clouds. Instead the ATL rapper switched it up by releasing an interesting black and white video for “Play The Guitar” featuring Andre 3000 and a T.I. sample. Andre 3000 doesn’t appear in the video (he’s busy filming the Jimy Hendrix biopic), but it still turned out pretty good…in an artsy kind of way! Continue reading
