Dressed in a top hat, Taylor Swift brought her no. 1 single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” to life once more at the Grammys. It wasn’t her best vocally or performance wise and she didn’t perform “I Knew You Were Trouble” like many fans were hoping, but she’s Taylor Swift, so she still wins.

Earlier in the day Swift snagged a Grammy for her “Safe & Sound” collaboration with The Civil Wars in the Song for Visual Media category.

Later in the show, Carrie Underwood took to the stage to perform “Blown Away” and “Two Black Cadillacs.” In my honest opinion, the vocals were a bit nasally, but it was still a pretty good performance.

Underwood snagged 2 awards for “Blown Away” tonight, including Best Country Song.

Country Music’s leading lady (no offense to Queen Tay Tay) will hit the stage to perform at the 2013 Grammys. Underwood’s “Blown Away” is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance. If she wins this will be her sixth Grammy.

Rihanna, Taylor Swift, fun. Mumford & Sons and The Black Keys are also set to hit the stage.

The Grammys will air on CBS on Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. EST.

Maria von Trapp, one of my favorite fictional characters, is coming to life again! Carrie Underwood has been tapped to play the nanny/stepmom of the von Trapp family when NBC’s live broadcast of “The Sound Of Music” airs on television late next year. We’ll have to wait another year to see how Underwood does in the lead role, but Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, producers of Smash, seem pretty excited about the project!

“We’re thrilled to be presenting the Broadway version of The Sound of Music live,” Zadan and Meron said in a press release announcing the production, “and having Carrie Underwood as the star brings it to a new generation who will fall in love with it for the first time as many millions of people already have. It’s a particular joy to us as producers to see this amazing artist stretch into new territory with this classic musical.”

This could either be really good or really…interesting considering Carrie has a beautiful country voice and Maria was Austrian…

Carrie Underwood in “Two Black Cadillacs” Video

Carrie Underwood is such a TEASE. The singer released a minute-long sneak peek for her forthcoming video “Two Black Cadillacs.” It’s another funeral video for her, but I’ve got a feeling this one isn’t going to be so sad based on the dark lyrics.

Check out the trailer for the music video that won’t be released until JANUARY 2013. Le sigh. Continue reading

Carrie Underwood stopped by Ellen yesterday and revealed that living with her hubby Mike Fischer has majorly improved since the last time she was one the show (remember, she called him a hoarder). The country singer also talked briefly about being vegan before joining Ellen in an interesting animal guessing game. Once Carrie composed herself from her laughing fit (brought on by the hilarious game) she took the stage to perform “Undo It” and her new single “Good Girl.” Check out the interview and performances below!!
