Kiesza and David Letterman

Last night while Fifth Harmony fans were camping out to see them perform on TODAY, Kiesza fans were sitting by the television watching the Canadian newcomer perform her single “Hideaway.”

The “Giant In My Heart” singer didn’t deliver her best vocals, but she did dance around the the David Letterman studio and outside in front of an open fire hydrant. Watching the singer dance on the street in front of the brick buildings as a nod to the song’s music video was definitely a treat.

The ladies of Fifth Harmony did a lot of dancing on the TODAY show this morning, but their performance involved a lot more body rolls than Kiesza’s. The X Factor girl group debuted their new single “Bo$$” live in front of screaming fans, while wearing all white, a nod to the song’s artwork and music video.

Kiesza’s Hideaway EP is in stores now.

Fifth Harmony will release their full-length LP later this year. Continue reading

Lady Gaga is currently performing seven shows at Roseland Ballroom in New York, the last shows before the historic venue closes it’s doors. The singer made one show in particular special, inviting David Letterman’s audience to watch the show and performing “Dope” and “G.U.Y.” for the late night host’s cameras.

The signer sat at a rose-coverd keyboard for the “Dope” performance, then stood up and danced to her latest ARTPOP single “G.U.Y.”

Sevyn Streeter performs "It Won't Stop" on Arsenio

Sevyn Streeter performs “It Won’t Stop” on Arsenio

With summer right around the corner (just let me dream) I’m getting curious to see what songs will stick around and become major anthems for the season. Sevyn Streeter’s “It Won’t Stop was definitely one of my favorite summer tunes in 2013 and the songstress is making sure no one forgets about it. Streeter appeared on Aresnio last night to perform an energetic version of the song, interacting with the crowd and incorporating some fun dance moves.

“It Won’t Stop” still manages to make me feel the same way I did when I first heard it! I think it will be around for a while. Continue reading

The 56th annual Grammy Awards wasn’t too eventful but a few of this year’s winners caused a bit of Internet chatter.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis walked home with four awards, including Best New Artist and Best Rap Album, which led the rapper to text Kendrick Lamar and screencap it for Instagram. “It’s weird and sucks that I robbed you,” Macklemore said in a long text after beating Lamar in the Best Rap Album category, among others.

It wasn’t Taylor Swift’s night either, as the “All Too Well” singer lost to Kacey Musgraves in the Best Country Album category and Daft Punk in the Album of the Year category. The robots, or Daft Punk, won five times throughout the night, but didn’t utter a single word.

The best acceptance speech had to go to Jay Z for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, though. After taking home the award for the Justin Timberlake-assisted single “Holy Grail,” Mr. Carter thanked God for the award and his wife and told Blue she now had a gold sippy cup. Translation: This is nothing to me.

For the most part the 56th annual Grammy Awards was a snooze fest, packed with mediocre performances. The night kicked off with a much anticipated performance from Beyonce and Jay Z. This was the first live performance from Beyonce since she dropped her fifth studio album in Dec., but the “Drunk In Love’ songstress left much to be desired, even with a “surfboard” breakdown.

The best performances of the night occurred when stars teamed up to collaborate with one another. Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons performed “m.A.A.d. city” and a new version of “Radioactive,” while Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, Queen Latifah, Madonna and Mary Lambert married over thirty couples to “Same Love.”

It’s official! The Carters are performing at the Grammys!

The Grammy Awards announced Jay z and Beyonce as performers during a commercial on CBS. This will be Beyonce’s first time performing since releasing her fifth studio album last month.

I’m just hoping Jay z has some D’USSE and tipsy raps “Drunk In Love’ with Bey . That’s all I ask.

Taylor Swift, Sara Bareilles, John Legend, Lorde, Katy Perry, Metallica and Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons, Pink and Nate Ruess (of fun.), and Blake Shelton are also scheduled to perform.

The 56th annual Grammy Awards will air on Jan. 26 on CBS. Continue reading

If the rumors are true, Beyonce has been planning even more surprises for the BeyHive in 2014! The Los Angeles Times says the “Drunk In Love” singer will perform at the 56th annual Grammy Awards later this month. This would be Beyonce’s first time performing since unceremoniously dropping her self-titled fifth studio album last month.

Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich didn’t confirm or deny the news. “I would think that the potential is there for that kind of moment,” he told the LA Times.

26 on CBS.

Taylor Swift, John Legend and Sara Bareilles have been added to the growing list of performers scheduled to hit the stage at the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are also scheduled to perform. What could the former Beatles be up to so close to the 50th anniversary of their first trip to the U.S.?

Lorde, Katy Perry, Metallica and Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons, Pink and Nate Ruess (of fun.), and Blake Shelton are also scheduled to perform.

Perhaps Bareilles and Perry are planning to troll us all by performing a mashup of “Brave” and “Roar.”

The Grammy Awards will air on CBS on Jan. 26.

Tamar Braxton Performs on "The Ellen Degeneres Show"

Tamar Braxton Performs on “The Ellen Degeneres Show”

Tamar Braxton stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show today (Jan. 8) to sing her latest Love & War single “All The Way Home.” The singer has been pretty vocal about her recent vocal issues, which have been affecting her performances, but she actually sounded pretty good during this one! Braxton looked confident as she sang the powerful love song, slung her hair and shook her shoulders.
