I think it’s safe to say after months (okay, maybe more like years) of resisting, I am a Childish Gambino fan.
The rapper/actor released a music video for “Sober,” a cut from his 2014 EP Kauai a few days ago (though I’m just getting a look at it) and it is probably one of my favorite videos of the year so far (aside from this controversial visual from Sia).
Not only is Gambino “Sober” instantly likeable, so is the music video, in which the rapper sings, dances and does everything he possibly can in an effort to attract the attention of a girl waiting for her takeout order in a restaurant.
The girl may be one of the best when it comes to mastering the skill of ignoring someone, but even she can’t resist Gambino’s smooth dance move and stunts.

Jhene Aiko and Childish Gambino lay in bed and field questions from reporters in the video for Aiko’s “Bed Peace.” The song and video were inspired by John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Bed-Ins, peaceful protests during the Vietnam War, and Bed Peace, the subsequent documentary about the movement.
“Bed Peace” will be featured on Aiko’s forthcoming EP Sail Out when it is released on Nov. 12. The album will also feature previously released tracks “Comfort Inn Ending” and “3:16,” along with four new songs. Continue reading
A few months ago Jhene Aiko announced plans to release an EP, Sail Out, prior to the release of her album Souled Out and performed a new song, “Bed Peace.” The singer released the studio version of the single today on iTunes. The single still encourages peace and has the acoustic feel of the performance, but the studio version also features a chill verse from rapper Childish Gambino.
“I’m a whole lot of trouble,” Leona Lewis warns in “Trouble.” The newly released single shows off a totally new style for the UK star and even features a verse from rapper Childish Gambino.
