When you’re best friend’s all strung out (on pills) and probably dealing with body dysmorphic disorder…
Those aren’t the actual lyrics to Foster the People’s “Best Friend,” an infectious groove that touches on addiction between funky bass lines and horns, but it is the basis on the video for the Supermodel single.
Ironically, the video follows supermodels who spends her time popping pills and criticizing their bodies in bathrooms between jobs. They devour, literally, their competition, taking on their most desired physical traits in order to be the ultimate supermodel. You can probably guess that it doesn’t turn out so well for them…
If you can sit through a few minutes of women puking up the jewelry and clothing of their victims then it’s definitely worth watching. Continue reading
Foster the People sings of growing up in their latest single “Coming Of Age,” the lead offering from their forthcoming sophomore album Supermodel. The video follows that theme carefully, showing the bandmates performing the single in between scenes of people going through growing pains.
The rumors were true, again!
Outkast is set to headline Counterpoint festival this year! The festival takes place in Kingston Downs, Georgia from April 25-27.
Foster the People, J. Cole, Janelle Monae, Chance the Rapper, Run the Jewels, Schoolboy Q, Rich Homie Quan and Deep Cotton are just a few of the artists set to perform during the three-day festival.

Outkast, Jack White and Vampire Weekend will headline Governors Ball in New York this year. According to Billboard, the festival announced its lineup by placing a full-page ad in the New York Times. News of Outkast headlining was first announced last week.
Janelle Monae, Disclosure, Foster the People, J. Cole, Empire of the Sun, James Blake, Phoenix, Childish Gambino, La Roux, Chance the Rapper, Run the Jewels and Skrillex are just a few of the acts set to perform.
The Governors Ball will take place June 6-8 on Randall’s Island in New York City.
After teasing the single on Dec. 31, Foster the People has released the lead single from their forthcoming album. “Coming of Age” features lyrics about growing up over surf rock riffs. There isn’t anything novel or spectacular about the track, but it has an easygoing vibe and a catchy repetitive hook that begs to be replayed.

Foster the People is preparing to release their sophomore album this year and they have treated fans to a preview of what’s to come. The untitled song sounds similar to Miike Snow sonically, but the snippet is really short. In fact, the only lyrics we here is “It feels like we’re coming of age.”
