Pop’s prince Justin Bieber is continuing to tap into his alter ego “Bizzle” with his new release “Looking For You.” There’s synths, booming bass and a feature from Migos, the Atlanta group responsible for songs like “Versace.”
The club-ready track is sure to give the singer more credit from his hip-hop peers, but it’s definitely not my favorite from the young star, probably because the rap group insists on mentioning Lil Terio and saying things like “my b*tch is so gorgeous I might pay her mortgage.”
Still, that doesn’t mean it won’t grow on me if it’s overplayed throughout the summer.

Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber are both managed by Scooter Braun so it was only a matter of time before the two recorded a duet. Grande previously opened up for Bieber during his Believe tour.
The singers teased the duet on twitter following the iHeartRadio Music Awards where Grande performed her new single “Problem” and received the Young Influencer Award. Ryan Seacrest tweeted that Grande confirmed the news to him and added that Bieber wrote the forthcoming track this morning.
No further details have been announced about the duet. Continue reading
Justin Bieber Bizzle isn’t going to let a little controversy bring him down. I was hoping 2014 would be a better year for the star, but a recent arrest has given the media a reason to continue to focus on the singer’s personal life. In yet another attempt to keep the focus on the music, Bieber has teamed up with rapper Blake Kelly for an uplifting track about remaining strong in the midst of adversity.
Bieber is supposed to release a new album later this year. Let’s hope he uses the drama as fuel for the project. Continue reading
In light of recent events it may have been easy to forget the fact that Justin Bieber released several solid R&B tracks last year. Today the pop star dropped the Colin Tiley-directed music video for one of those songs, “Confident,” to remind people. This video has the same aesthetic as the “All That Matters” visuals, but features Bieber meeting a girl at a convenience store and trying to get her number. Chance the Rapper makes an appearance towards the end of the video for his verse.
Hopefully now Bieber (and the media) can get back to focusing on the music. Continue reading
Justin Bieber wants us to believe “Hold Tight” is about an innocent embrace but everyone over the age of 13 knows better. Regardless, the singer released a video for the sexy song that is comprised of concert footage. In the visuals, Bieber gives a few lucky Beliebers some G-rated loving after bringing them on stage. This video is disappointing, honestly.
“Hold Tight” is featured on Journals, which is currently available for download. Continue reading
…but we already knew that, didn’t we?
Following Justin Bieber’s Christmas Eve retirement announcement, Scott Manson, the COO of Scooter Braun Projects, says Bieber is NOT retiring.
The company’s General Manager Allison Kaye echoed Manson’s remarks, saying the tweets were Bieber’s way of responding to the false stories that are constantly circulated about him.
Regarding his recent tweeting about his “retirement” Justin felt that this was the best way to respond to the latest in a long line of inaccurate or wildly exaggerated media reports about him. He chose to channel his frustration into playing along with this baseless rumor and even used “beloved” to tip off his core fans that it wasn’t real. But within 20 minutes, Justin realized that fans were confused by the media reports and clarified that he was kidding. This wasn’t a planned stunt, it was just another day in the life of living under the microscope.
Are you relieved?
Read more about of what Kaye had to say about the announcement at Speak Easy.
Is it a coincidence that Justin Bieber said he’s “officially retiring” just hours before his latest concert film was released in theatres? Probably not.
Following a radio interview where the popular heartthrob hinted at retiring, Bieber confirmed the sad news on Twitter late last night before tweeting that he’s “here forever.” Say what?
I highly doubt the young star will stay out of the spotlight for long, but maybe he’s hinting at a long break. The singer isn’t supposed to release a new album until the end of 2014, so it is possible.
What do you think?! Is Bieber gone for good?
After a week-long delay, Justin Bieber has released Journals, a collection of songs including the previously released Music Monday tracks. In addition to the critically acclaimed R&B grooves, Journals also features new collaborations with rappers Big Sean, Lil Wayne and Future. The album cuts aren’t nearly as good as the Music Monday releases, but I’m sure that won’t stop Beliebers from purchasing the album!

Justin Bieber’s #MusicMondays series is unfortunately coming to an end today. Technically.
When #MusicMondays first began I don’t think anyone, outside of Beliebers, was excited about the music series, which promised a new song every Monday, but I think it is safe to say the idea was a huge success! For most of the year the focus was on Bieber and his personal life, but this series has managed to put the focus back on his new music. Over the last few weeks, the singer has consistently delivered smooth R&B tracks that have garnered praise from fans and critics alike.
The good news is Bieber will release a few more songs before the year ends. The singer announced plans to release Journals, a collection of songs, including #MusicMondays tracks, next week. The project will include 15 tracks, including five unreleased songs, the “All That Matters” video and more.
Journals will feature collaborations from Big Sean, Future and Lil Wayne when it is released on Dec. 16. The collection will be available exclusively on iTunes until Jan. 2. After that, the songs will only be available individually.
Bieber is also planning to release his next album towards the end of 2014.
“Confident’ is the last official #MusicMondays offering and it’s sure to leave you wanting more. With more R&B-inspired chops, a catchy hook and lyrics about an irresistible femme fatale, the song perfectly captures the essence of the series.
Check out the tracklisting for Journals and listen to the nod-worthy “Confident,” ft. Chance the Rapper, below. Continue reading
Justin Bieber has been releasing solid track after track every Monday and now the singer has released a sexy video to accompany the slow banger “All That Matters.” Bieber goes shirtless, makes out with his leading lady (played by model Cailin Russo) and gives a sexy pose or two in the sultry clip. Director Colin Tilley utilized lighting gels to set the mood in the visuals.
“All That Matters” is one of several tracks Bieber has released as a part of his #MusicMondays series, leading up to the theatrical release of his film Believe 3D on Dec. 25 Continue reading
