I have to be honest. The only thing worse than adding an unnecessary Will.I.Am verse to an otherwise decent single is adding an unnecessary Pitbull verse to the SAME SONG and releasing the two versions within days of one another. It’s not that I have anything against these two gentlemen, I honestly think they’re good at creating catchy party anthems, but their verses often come off as cheesy (Pitbull jokes about having a psychiatrist at 13 in his latest verse), and Ke$ha does that well enough on her own. Regardless, I like this song because Ke$ha rhymes Gucci with coochie and hoochie, and I don’t think that should go unnoticed.

“Crazy Kids” is featured on Warrior, which is in stores now.

Ke$ha’s singles from her latest album Warrior haven’t been nearly as popular as the ones from her debut album, but maybe her luck is about to turn around. The singer will release “Crazy Kids” as the next single from the album, but with an added verse from.

I actually really like this as a single, I’m just not in love with Will.I.Am’s new verse. Listen below and share your thoughts! Continue reading

Kids and adults gathered at the Galen Center in Los Angeles for performances, slime and awards galore tonight. Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards featured performances from Pitbull and Christina Aguilera, who performed “Feel This Moment,” and Ke$ha who performed “We R Who We R” and “C’mon.”

Christina Aguilera is still busy not promoting Lotus, but Ke$ha and Pitbull recently announced the dates for their joint summer tour, so I’ll just drown out my disappointment in Xtina with repetitive lyrics and catchy hooks.

If party songs are your thing, search no more for the perfect summer tour. Pitbull gave fans a small glimpse of what his concerts are like in the “Feel This Moment” video and now it’s been revealed that he’s touring this summer with the biggest party animal of them all: Ke$ha. The North American tour will run from May 23- June 28. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 29.

Don’t stop the partyyyy!

Good news Animals! n high-quality version of the previously leaked, but never officially released “Woohoo” has landed online!

In the track K$ talks of tag teaming Bert and Ernie and being a bad a** female that doesn’t live traditionally. Yes, it’s a typical party track, but that’s besides the point.

Throw your hands up and shout “Woohoo” below! Continue reading

NBA

NBA All-Star weekend keeps getting better!

Last week it was announced that Fall Out Boy, Ellie Goulding and Phillip Phillips will perform at the ‘State Farm All-Star Saturday Night’ on Feb. 16. Officials also revealed that Alicia Keys, Neyo & John Legend would sing at the actual game on Feb. 17.

This week another round of performers have been announced!

Ke$ha, B.o.B & Ludacris are set to perform during the NBA All-Star Pregame Concert hours before the game on on Feb. 17. The concert will air on NBA TV at 6 p.m. EST.

Ke$ha will more than likely perform music from her latest album Warrior, but I’m curious to see what B.O.B & Ludacris will perform! Hopefully a few oldies!

Ke$ha in “C’Mon” Video

The follow-up video to “Die Young” has arrived. In “C’Mon” Ke$ha quits her job and escapes the real world by partying with her fury fans in the back of a fan and in a mini mart. Yes, it looks just as random as it sounds. Continue reading

Epic/RCA/Independent/Laydee Spencer Music Inc./Terrible Records

Our favorite Extended Plays (EPs) this year weren’t necessarily the most popular. All year artists have been releasing EPs as a way to introduce themselves to the industry or to treat fans to new music while prepare a full album. This year’s list is all about the ladies!

Here are the five EPs that stood out to us from 2012: Continue reading

Ke$ha performs on The X Factor (US)

Ke$ha is moving on to her next single! The singer, who recently released her sophomore album Warrior is still on the promo trail promoting the new release, but instead of performing the lead single “Die Young” on X Factor on Thursday night, the glitter queen debuted “C’Mon” for the first time on television.

I love Ke$ha most of the time, but so far I haven’t been too pleased with this album or it’s promotion (aside from the “Die Young” performances). Continue reading

THIS is exactly what I was talking about when I said Ke$ha is capable of good things!

The singer released the Deconstructed EP today in addition to her new album Warrior and with it comes a new version of “The Harold Song.”  My heart is turning flips. The track is bare, aside from a few ambient noises, and it allows Ke$ha’s vocals to tell the terribly sad story in such a beautiful way.

If anyone needs me I’ll be rocking myself in the nearest corner.
