K. Michelle isn’t going to let a little lawsuit rain on her reality tv parade!
The Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta star says that despite Memphitz’s newly filed defamation law suit she stands by her accusations that he beat her when they were dating.
I¹ve always been told that the truth shall set you free. I stand behind my story 100%. I came on the ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ show mainly because I wanted to give a voice and bring light to a very serious issue. I am very grateful to VH1 and Monami Ent. for the opportunity to tell my story, and touch lives worldwide … I look forward to having my day in court and finally having the truth of my story confirmed in a court of law. Hopefully others will not have to go through this and then have their stories challenged to this degree because people now want to try to salvage whatever reputation they may have had.
This is about to get interesting. Thoughts?!
Seaon 1 of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta ended last night, but in reality the drama continues! Memphitz is suing Viacom (VH1) and Mona Scott’s Monami Entertainment, LLC for slander. Love & Hip Hop star K. Michelle has stated numerous times on and off the show that she was abused by her ex-boyfriend/former boss and though she hasn’t actually said his name on television it’s pretty much common knowledge that she’s referring to Memphitz. He and his family have vehimately denied the abuse.
Well, Memphitz has had enough of the allegations and he’s taking the situation to court. He is suing for approximately one dollar per viewer per show. He released the following statement.
“My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and the other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character. “The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation and to deter these companies from doing such future harm to others.”
The lawsuit states:
Ms. Pate (K. Michelle) has taken full advantage of society’s tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof,” says Memphitz’s attorney Conti J. Moore, Esq. “The only abuse that actually occurred is the malicious and calculated pattern of vicious lies Ms. Pate has assailed for the purpose of fabricating a compelling story line in an attempt to ruin my client’s name.”
Is Memphitz within his rights?!

In case you missed Toya and Memhitz’s wedding ceremony which aired last night on Toya’s BET reality show “A Family Affair” last night! I love these two because their relationship just seems to genuine!!
Tamera Mowry recently revealed what being a good wife means to her and I thought this quote was too good to pass up! Call me old fashion, but I’m a sap for good old fashion relationships so this made my day!
My mom was such an amazing example. She was a mom, wife, and a career woman. I just want to be there for my husband. I don’t ever want him to think that he’s not getting everything at home — love, attention, encouragement, a meal. I just want him to feel the best he feels at home. I think that’s what a good wife is. Someone who is very attentive to her husband.
