The bond between Young Money artists Drake, Nicki Minaj and their boss Lil Wayne seems stronger than ever. Sorry, Tyga.
The trio has teamed up for Nicki Minaj’s latest The Pinkprint release and the main topic is Minaj’s sex life. The rapper has always been clear on the fact that she’s all abut business and doesn’t sleep with men in the industry, but that doesn’t stop fans from wondering what’s going on between her and Drake. One minute she’s calling him her brother and the next she’s giving him a lap dance in her “Anaconda” video.
“I never f*cked Wayne, I never f*cked Drake. On my life man f*ck sake. If I did I would menage with ‘em and let them eat my ass like a cupcake.” she spits in the opening lines of “Only.”
“I never f*cked Nicki cuz she got a man, but when that’s over then I’m first in line.”
TMZ says that’s over so let the Dricki shipping begin.
With the three popular rappers and Chris Brown on the hook, this song should be received well by fans. Sonically, it’s nothing new for the YMCMB crew, but Minaj’s fans are always excited when the rapper goes back to her hip hop roots.
The Pinkprint just got a new release date. It’s scheduled for a Dec. 15 release now. Continue reading
August Alsina isn’t the type of guy you can get to fall in love, but at least he warns you. The singer swears off the emotion in his single “No Love” and in the video for the song’s Nicki Minaj-assisted remix, he leaves his main chick (Minaj) at home while he goes out to party with another woman.
Minaj spends her night laying on the couch and losing her mind over her man’s whereabouts, but eventually he gets tired of living a double life and decides he IS capable of love and monogamy. Or maybe he’s just capable of sending red roses to smooth things over temporarily? I can’t be sure.
Regardless, Alsina and Minaj make a cute couple in the video, despite the rapper’s questionable guest verse (“Why you coming over weeded?”). Continue reading
Paid sisters Beyonce and Nicki Minaj surprised fans with an explosive performance of their “Flawless” remix in Paris last night during Bey and Jay-Z’s On The Run tour.
Many of the artists’ fans were already speculating that the ladies would link up on stage since they were both in Paris, but that didn’t stop the crowd from going CRAZY when Minaj walked on stage.
Beyonce mostly stood by mugging as Minaj delivered her verse, but she did join in for one line in particular. “Mayday Mayday, Earth to bitches,” she lipped.

If I told you Usher, Nicki Minaj and Pharrell recently worked on a song together you’d expect it to be a massive hit, right? That’s what drags their latest collaboration “She Came To Give It To You” down.
The single isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s not the major song you’d expect from the “Little Freak” collaborators and one of the biggest producers in the industry, either. It’s safe.
Usher parties and performs in a hidden room club in the similarly safe music video for the bass-heavy song. Nicki Minaj eventually shows up and starts making crazy faces in front of a bunch of televisions and Pharrell lurks around, holding up the wall and nodding his head.
The stars are mostly seen in separate scenes, with the exception of a few quick shots of Minaj and Usher on television screens.
Unfortunately, we’ve seen this video concept countless times before so it likely won’t elevate the single.
Admittedly, if some less established artists had released this same single and video it probably would be received better.
These three have set the bar way higher.
The MTV VMAs wasn’t spectacular this year, but it wasn’t terrible either. It was fun, but not particularly memorable (Beyonce aside). Honestly, we all know that how well an awards show is received is directly related to acceptance speech antics and performances. This year, everyone kept their acceptance speeches short and shade-free and the performances, while good, weren’t instant classics, either.
Ariana Grande opened the show by coming out of a spaceship and performing her intergalactic Zedd-assisted hit single “Break Free” from her sophomore album My Everything, which is out today. Ironically, Grande’s kid friendly performance gave way to Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda,” where the singer humped the floor and recreated the video’s chair sequence in a green two piece. Minaj ran off the stage to change as Grande joined Jessie J on the stage for their major collaboration “Bang Bang” just minutes after the product placement-heavy video debuted online. The rapper made it to the stage for her verse, but she didn’t have time to zip up her dress so she just held is shut with her hands for the end of their set. Aside from Beyonce’s 15-minute-long performance, this was the performance highlight of the night. Wardrobe malfunction and all. Sam Smith, 5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5, Usher and Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora all delivered solid, albeit conventional, performances, too.
Surprisingly the night’s biggest disappointment performance-wise was Taylor Swift. The good news is she didn’t twerk. The bad news is she just twisted around the stage with a bunch of men in suits to her new single “Shake It Off”. If it wasn’t for the commentary about the dancer who was bitten by a snake during Nicki Minaj’s rehearsal the day before (The
anaconda boa constrictor DID…), the performance would’ve been a total snooze. Swift, you’re a full on pop star now. It’s time to step completely outside of the box.

With less than an hour to go before Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj open the VMAs with their explosive hit single “Bang Bang,” the Beats-sponsored music video has been released.
The ladies paint New York city pink in the fun video, which ends with the trio partying on a rooftop. In the visuals, Jessie J struts in the middle of the street, Ariana Grande holds court in her bedroom and Nicki Minaj travels in style.
It’s as good as a video with excessive product placement could be.
We’ll see how the performance goes…
The single will be featured on Jessie J’s forthcoming album as well as Ariana Grande’s sophomore effort, which hits stores tomorrow.

Just when you thought twerking was on it’s way out…
I wasn’t expecting much from Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” music video. Based on the singer’s inability to twerk in the past I had reason to believe the visuals for the ode to butts wouldn’t be that entertaining.
I was wrong.
The provocative video features Minaj in multiple settings, including a forest, a gym, a kitchen and an empty room with rapper Drake, but the message throughout remains the same. Minaj has buns, hun, and she can actually shake them.
There are many fun scenes, but the most talked about will certainly be the one where Minaj gives fellow YMCMB rapper Drake a lap dance. We’ve seen the two joke about getting married and flirt many times at this point, but this scene takes teasing Dricki (yes, they already have a name) fans to an entirely new level.
Just when you think the two are going to ride off into the sunset together and fulfill Drake’s every dream, the video ends with him sitting all alone, looking pretty devastated over the fact that his big booty love has escaped him once again.
While “Anaconda” is a fun song, I must admit I haven’t really payed it much attention since it was released. I think this video has officially solved that problem.
Apparently, these days all you have to do is work out in a g-string, pour whipped cream all over yourself and seduce your peer to get people talking.

Nicki Minaj has been added to the growing list of MTV VMA performers.
My initial thought was that Minaj could be joining Beyonce for a performance of the new “Flawless Remix,” but, according to MTV, Minaj will be delivering her first solo performance during the awards show.
Still, this doesn’t mean the rapper won’t join Beyonce at a different time in the show. After all, Bey is up for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, so she has to have something special up her sleeve for her performance. (And by special I don’t mean playing a performance from this year’s On the Run tour, either.)
Other performers include Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Usher, 5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5 and Ariana Grande.
The MTV VMAs will air on August 24 at 9 p.m. EST.
Apparently there was an abundance of twerking and alcohol on the set of Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” video. The singer released behind the scenes footage from the set of the video days after unveiling the single on iTunes on Monday. In the clip, a tipsy Minaj is seen having fun on set and reviewing the raunchy footage from the video shoot. Even she seems stunned by the sexy footage!
An official release date has not been revealed.

The controversy surrounding Nicki Minaj’s new single “Anaconda” probably isn’t going to stop at the song’s single artwork. The “Baby Got Back” sampling-single finds Minaj rapping about all things inappropriate, from car sex to salad tossing drug dealers that buy her anything she wants.
The explicit single is extremely catchy. Minaj is known for making songs that are fun to rap along to and this is one of them.
The rapper released a teaser of the song’s video this morning and, of course, it centers around the derrière. It’s safe to say this video will feature a LOT of twerking.
