It has been less than a year since Ariana Grande released her R&B-inspired debut album Yours Truly featuring songs like “The Way” and “Right There” and now the 21-year-old singer is preparing to release her second LP.
On August 25, just days ahead of the one-year anniversary of Yours Truly, Grande will release My Everything. The cover for the new album is stylistically similar to it’s predecessor’s artwork. Both covers are in black and white and feature pink and white typography.
My Everything will feature Grande’s current hit single, the Iggy Azalea-assisted “Problem” (whose only real problem is the fact that Azalea has, ironically, been blocking it from the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for over a month). Grande will release the album’s second single, the Zedd-assisted “Break Free” on July 2. The singer teased the song’s video on Instagram over the weekend. In the short clip she can be seen kicking off her pants and singing (“This is the part where I break free”) into the camera.
Big Sean, who appears on the hook of “Problem” and also contributed to Yours Truly is also featured on the album along with Childish Gambino, A$AP Ferg and more.
With these rap features it seems like Grande may not have strayed too far from the influences that made her first album so well received for this project.
In addition to releasing a new song this week, the songbird will also have a special on MTV. The network is bring TRL back as “TAL” (Total Ariana Live) for one day on Wednesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. Both “Problem” and “Break Free” will be performed. Continue reading
Has anyone stopped to think about the fact that Lady Gaga didn’t release the music video for her sexually-charged single “Do What U Want” because it was directed by a man who has been accused numerous times of sexual misconduct with female talent on shoots in the past and features a singer who has been fighting sex crimes allegations for years?
I didn’t. Until now. TMZ says that is one of the main reasons why the highly-anticipated video was scrapped and never released. A new clip from the video only solidifies this rumor. In the 30-second video, Gaga lies on a table while nurses dance on top of her and R. Kelly plays a very hands-on doctor. In another clip, she rolls around in newspaper and touches herself as director Terry Richardson takes pictures.
It’s very short, but it’s definitely enough to make you happy the full video was never released… Continue reading

Visually, the singer is seen showing off a few dance moves in the 40-second clip.
There are no further details on the new song as of now, but I’m pretty excited to hear the full track!
