Dawn’s opening rap verse didn’t hook me immediately, but the catchy hook and sample (Clipse’s “Grindin'”) definitely caught my attention.

“Oh these haters got a sour head look up on they face, lemonade, lemonade,” the Danity Kane ladies sing on their comeback single “Lemonade” before Tyga comes in a with a solid verse. The urban single is the first release from the girl group since they reformed as a quartet in 2013.

Apparently, Aundrea does appear on the song, which is a relief.

Listen to the Stereotypes-produced comeback single below.

Update: It seems Aundrea ISN’T featured on this song after all. The rumors were true. She has left the group. Continue reading

Tyga, Chris Brown & Lil Wayne in “Loyal” video

Chris Brown has released the music video for his latest single “Loyal” following a social media countdown. The video was shot at Universal’s CityWalk and features appearances from collaborators Lil Wayne & Tyga, along with Usher and Trey Songz.

The fun video puts Browns dancing skills on full display.

“Loyal” is the latest single from Brown’s forthcoming album X, which is currently scheduled for a May release. It is unclear if Brown’s current legal troubles will force him to postpone the album once again. Continue reading

Young Money rappers Tyga, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne deliver effortless bars in “Senile.”

Tyga keeps his rhymes laid back, while Minaj steals the show once again with her cocky lyrics (“I got this sh*t wrapped tighter than a bear hug. When them b*tches rap n****s need an ear plug.”). They don’t get to have all of the fun, though. Their boss comes through with a solid verse to close off the track.

Wayne is preparing to release Tha Carter V in the next few months, while Minaj will reportedly release a new album later this year. Tyga will release a new album, The Gold Album, in 2014, too. He will also team up with Chris Brown for Fan of a Fan 2 this summer.

If “Senile” doesn’t get you excited for these rapper’s new releases, I don’t know what will! Continue reading

Waka Flocka premiered yet another twerk worthy video last night. The Benny Boom produced video features Flo Rida and YMCMB’s Nicki Minaj and Tyga. It’s nice, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary.

Still, if you like the song you will enjoy it. Check it out below and share your thoughts! Continue reading

Waka Flocka teamed up with Flo Rida, and YMCMB’s Nicki Minaj and Tyga for “Get Low” and the rappers recently shot a music video to go with the single. The Benny Boom directed video looks like it will feature all the typical rap video fixings so it should be pretty interesting.

Formerly the lead singer of British hip-hop group N-Dubs and currently an X Factor UK judge, Tulisa is breaking out as a solo artist with her second single, “Live It Up”.

The song is definitely a clubber, with a bit of a reggae vibe and assistance from Tyga. It makes for a good summer party song.  I find myself dancing to it easily.

Waka Flocka teamed up with Flo Rida and YMCMB’s Nicki Minaj and Tyga for his new single “Get Low.” The song is much different than I expected, but it still features a typical verse from Waka and a solid rap verse from Nicki. I don’t really care if Nicki wants to do pop songs, but when she does verses like this I get my life! Listen to “Get Low” below and share your thoughts!! Continue reading
