Usher dropped “Climax” last year in honor of Valentine’s Day, so we probably shouldn’t have been too surprised when “Go Missin’” hit the web today. The Diplo-produced track is catchy, smooth and would’ve fit right in with 2012′s Lookin 4 Myself.
Does this mean we’re getting a new album from the new The Voice star this year?! Continue reading
Earlier this week it was revealed that Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson will sing during President Obama’s inauguration on Jan. 21 and today other performers were revealed.
Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Usher, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Smokey Robinson and Marc Anthony have all been tapped to perform during the inaugural celebration. The specific balls and events that each performer will participate in has not yet been revealed.
Last night CBS aired an hour-long tribute to the late Whitney Houston. The “We Will Always Love You” special featured footage of Whitney Houston, speeches from celebrities like Halle Berry and Britney Spears and performances from Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion and gospel singers Yolanda Adams and CeCe Winans.
I wasn’t in LOVE with all of the tributes, but I will admit they were sweet and made me remember Whitney for her music and not her personal mishaps.

I never would’ve thought Ludacris would have a dance song, but here we are and here it is.
Luda teamed up with David Guetta and Usher to for the dancy tune about living life to the fullest and in the video the guys are seen dancing in the middle of the street between inspirational shots of people surfing and having a great time.
I love Ludacris, but I’m not in love with this. *sigh* Continue reading
Ludacris has a new single featuring long-time collabo partner Usher and dance record producer David Guetta. It’s expected for Usher to team up with Guetta to do a dance song like this, but not Ludacris. Apparently he’s jumped on the bandwagon too. R&B & Hip-Hop can’t compare to the instant smash potential of a pop record. The radio friendly and club ready single already has a video shot and so it should be out in the coming months! Listen to the track after the jump!!
In the age of technology, it’s hard to keep things under wrap! “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute To Whitney Houston” won’t air on television until Nov. 16, but footage of the performances is already leaking online. The tribute concert was shot in LA over the weekend, and Usher’s “I Believe In You & Me” performance landed on Youtube just days later. From what we can see in the video, Usher performs the song as pictures of Whitney Houston are shown across the stage behind him.
Watch (or, actually listen, because you can’t really see much in the video) Usher’s moving tribute below! Continue reading
Last night Whitney Houston’s family, friends and fans gathered once again to remember the late singer. “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute To Whitney Houston” was filmed last night at the Nokia Theatre in LA. Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina was joined by her boyfriend Nick Gordon, and aunt Pat Houston. Clive Davis also attended, but Cissy and Gary Houston did not.
Britney Spears, and Halle Berry were among the stars who remembered the star on stage. Britney revealed that her performance of “I Have Nothing” landed her a record deal, and Halle gave an emotional speech about the woman who inspired numerous little girls. Continue reading
Vh1 just premiered the video for Usher’s new single “Numb”. We got a sneak peek of the video last week, and now we get the full thing. In the video, Usher is doing his signature dance moves in a glass box interspersed between shots of him with loved ones and on stage. It showcases the emotions Usher has gone through following his walk-off stage at a Berlin concert last year. The song itself is the usual dance pop sound that’s still on radio, but Usher’s voice cascades over the beat well.
Check out “Numb” below!
A preview of Usher’s new single “Numb” was released today. It’s the fourth single from Looking 4 Myself that will be released in full Nov. 4. Continue reading
