It’s been a little over a month since Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozado tied the knot on the 4th of July and things are already rocky. Last night Chad Johnson was arrested in Davie, Forida for domestic violence following an argument with his wife over a receipt for condoms that she found in their car. According to Chad, he and Evelyn leaned forward at the same time causing an accidental headbutt, but the cops weren’t buying it because he was arrested.
He was released this morning after seeing a judge and paying his $2,500 bond. He is not allowed to have any contact with his wife until the issue is resolved.
Evelyn went to the hospital last night to treat the lacerations on her forehead and was released this morning.
On September 3 the couple’s reality show ‘Ev & Ocho’ will air on VH1 and will give fans a behind the scenes look into the preparation for the ceremony and the actual destination wedding.
This is a mess.
UPDATE: Early reports stated that the police was called by a neighbor, but TMZ is reporting that it was actually Evelyn who made the phone call after fleeing from her husband. According to the site, as Evelyn was hiding out at the neighbor’s home and calling the cops, Chad was driving around the neighborhood searching for her.
