Emblem 3, everyone’s favorite boy band from The X Factor , has been signed by former mentor Simon Cowell! Brothers Wesley Stromberg, Keaton Stromberg and childhood friend Drew Chadwick are signed to the British judge’s Syco Music via Columbia Records. The group is in the studio recording for an album due later this year!
The album is to be executive produced by Savan Kotecha who previously worked with Maroon 5, Usher, and One Direction. He says:
I was so impressed by the talent and energy of the Emblem3 boys that I had to work with them. I’m looking forward to helping them fulfill their creative vision and working with the amazing Syco and Columbia team who, in my opinion, are the best in the business.
The album will feature collaborations ranging from Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte to Kool Kojack who’s worked with Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha.
Wesley said of the signing in a statement:
With our new teammates at Columbia and Syco and along with Savan, I hope we can not only produce some empowering tunes, but also impact other people in a positive way and maybe help brighten things up a bit. Music is all we’ve ever wanted to do — and this is what we love to do.
Cowell had planned on signing the boys regardless of the outcome.
Wesley, Drew and Keaton are complete stars. They have a great attitude, are fun and genuinely love music. They deserve this and I’m really pleased we are continuing working together.
